We are a Sydney based four piece rock band with the aim to communicate our original style of music to a larger audience. The band has had a lot of recent success with not only some airplay on radio but also coming in 2nd out of over 80 bands in a major Sydney band competition.The Ramshackle Mansion sound would be best described as having powerful and haunting melodies intertwined with a pulsating, rock beat. Although the content of our songs are varied, they usually explore the unending topic of relationships, or serve as a social commentary about our life today. The lyrics are set to the backdrop of a dynamic range of styles and influences that incorporate rock, pop and alternate elements. Ramshackle Mansion was formed from the ashes of George and Tad’s brief ‘Battle Cry’ project. George Carvalho was the guitarist for five years for the Jazz Funk trio 'Watch it Grow' that were featured in many club and café venues throughout the Sydney Acid Jazz Funk scene. For the last two years he has turned his attention to playing rock and to song writing. He is the driving lyrical and musical force behind The Mansion. The not so mysterious Tad Dangerous has worked with a number of accomplished musicians, including ongoing project 'Box Factory' with acclaimed songwriter Barry Faulkner. Inspired by George’s distinctive songwriting, he has thrown himself headlong through the door of the Mansion. Shannon Hendy entered the Mansion in August 2009 and immediately made a huge impression with his smooth and haunting vocals. Shannon brings a commanding intensity and personality to his vocals that give the band its unique sound. The cornerstone of the Mansion was finally cemented in 2009 when David Papadakis brought a new energy and dynamic into the band. David is a powerful and incredibly versatile drummer with strong metal roots and an eagerness and talent to explore all musical genres.
