A great album full of positive catchy upbeat tunes with many songs written about Australia, its beaches and the great country we live in.

Description
Recent News**J.R did a great job mixing and we are currently finalising all tracks to complete the album and then release towards the end of the year. Watch. This. Space.**

The band itself has existed in a serious form since early
1998.
It all started with the band's 3 track single 'Cold Wind' released December 2001, selling out pressing after pressing it made it's way to the 2000 sales mark today where only a few copies of this release remain. The band toured constantly on this release, in fact they recorded the next EP 'Don't Look Back' while on tour in Qld over 5 days at the popular Red Zed's Studio in Brisbane.

This EP was released in August 2002 to rave reviews and spent 6 weeks in the AIR Independant Charts, peaking at number #4 in it's 5th week of sales.

'Don't Look Back' was the first single off the EP and received great media support earning spots on cover cd's for Blunt & Kerrang Magazines, gaining airplay on the commercial radio networks Triple M & Nova alongside Triple J and many community radio stations nationally.

Triple M selected the band as their Unsigned Find on The Local Program and the Planet Rock program and placed in the new rock battle on Kerrang Radio, while Richard Kingsmill invited the band in for a lengthy interview on his Oz Music Show at Triple J. Meanwhile BMX Central which airs on Foxtel's Fox Sport's Channel picked up the EP and immediatly began using the tracks in the soundtrack to their tv program reaching a huge audience. Step forward to February 2003, 7 months later and the track 'Don't Look Back' was still being played on Triple M , as the band was their Launchpad Feature Artist for the month which included live interviews, plays, and plugs for the February Tour. Not bad for a track to get a second wind on the radio.
While 'Don't Look Back' was still selling well instores the next step for the band was an appearance on the New.Old.Rare Split Ep (Redline Records) with Blueline Medic, Midtown (usa) & The Movielife (usa). 4 Bands, 3 Tracks each.

A label was then found in the USA (Fueled By Ramen) who released the split Ep over there in January 2003 with Recover replacing The Movielife an intense touring schedule has developed a truly national fanbase having toured Queensland, Melbourne and Western Australia over 5 times each, not to mention travelling all over NSW playing shows

As the tours kept happening the crowds kept growing and the band has played capacity shows just about everywhere now, both headlining and as a support act. Some high profile venues the band has played include :
NSW : UNSW Roundhouse, Metro Theatre, Annandale Hotel, Newtown RSL, St Mary's Leagues Club
VIC : The Metro Rebar, Evelyn Hotel, Armidale Hotel, The Tote
WA : Amplifier Bar, Settler's Tavern

Secondbest maintained a high profile both online and in the nation's print media, online the bands website recieved hundreds of hits daily with an interactive forum that the band and fans posted on regularly enticing the fans to come back.

Secondbest were also regularly the most downloaded punk artist on the Australian MP3 site mp3.com.au, Every track the band had released on the site had gone straight to number one, with 'Don't Look Back' holding the position of most downloaded track from the site for 6 weeks straight. Back in 2003.

Secondbest were endorsed by the nationally distributed RUSHN Clothing label & Dickies who were very supportive towards the band and allowed then to have the highest quality of merchandise available. The bands equipment is supplied by YAMAHA Australia, South Coast Music and The Guitar Factory

The band continued to write and have completed Various tracks for selection for their upcoming album, which has been mixed by J.R Mcneely (Paramore, Twilight Soundtrack, Anberlin) and will be due for release sometime late this year.
